Visiting Santa Claus

Visiting Santa Claus

Tis' the season for all things Christmas! I truly believe in the magic of Santa at the holidays and I am so excited to share that with Charlie this year by letting him see Santa Claus in person. His visit with Santa last year ended with him kicking and screaming, but this year we are prepared for a fun and magical experience!

We ended up taking Charlie to Santa's Wonderland at Bass Pro shops. It's close by our house and free, so a double win!

Bass Pro has got it all figured out. You go to one of their little ticket depots inside the store and pick up a "Bass Pass". This little pass gives you a time slot to see Santa Claus so you don't have to wait in line with your little one! Your spot is held and you are free to explore Santa's Wonderland where there are free crafts and activities until it's your time.

If you're headed to see Santa Claus and there isn't an option for a virtual line or pass, I recommend coming prepared with a diaper backpack full of goodies and little activities. We pack mini Kind Bars and applesauce pouches to help fight the hunger waiting in line can cause (both for us and Charlie). We also love sticker books, flash cards, and finger puppets to keep us busy.

I love any excuse to dress up my little guy and holiday activities like getting to see Santa Claus give me all the more reason! A cute and practical addition to any outfit is a bandana bib. We love the christmas-y theme of the Lumberjack set and the cute red plaid to coordinate with Santa. The Anne Set and the Holly Set make the cutest accessory for a little girl to add a little holiday flair to her outfit.

An important tip to remember is to have a good attitude. This experience is supposed to fun and enjoyable for you and your little one! Santa may scare them or they may end up loving the chance to meet him! Either way, come prepared and ready to experience the magic of Christmas with your children.

Still not sure about Santa ;)
