Do you remember as kids, adults would always say how fast time went? And now that we have kids, every year at this time I am amazed at how quickly each year has flown by. Here we are, gearing up for 2019.
Do you guys set New Year Resolutions? I love them! I think the key is to write them down and be specific. A couple of mine this year include meal planning every week, reading more (a book a month) and staying on top of organization with a planner.
Anyways, this Friday Favorites is all for you, mama.
New Year Friday Favorites
Me Before You Series by Jojo Moyes
Recommended by my mother-in-law, I just started this series and I know it's perfect to start off my reading in 2019. I am not an avid reader by any means, which means this is a lofty goal. I need something light and easy to read, and this series is perfect.
The Day Designer
I LOVE planners and lists and pretty things - which makes The Day Designer perfect to support the addiction. I snagged my pretty planner on Black Friday, because they aren't cheap, but when I consider how many times I open it in a week - it feels totally worth it.
Pinch of Yum Food Blog
Meal planning and healthy eating is always on my list. When it comes to recipes, I love Pinterest and I have my favorite food blogs bookmarked, which includes sweet Lindsay at Pinch of Yum. Her recipes are simple and healthy without being over the top. OH! And she is doing "Sugar-free January" again if you feel up to it.
Outdoor Voices
Since working out is a popular NY resolution (on my list too!), I am really excited to share Outdoor Voices. This company believes in movement and doing things for FUN.
I love their message and, as a busy mom, when you look at working out as another thing on your to-do list it can be daunting, BUT when you look at it like an hour to focus on your own well-being and to have some fun - it's way easier! You need to be the best you to be the best mom for your kids. Oh, and their stuff is really cute.
Another great resolution for me is to give myself grace. Everyone can be too hard on themselves at times and it's important to remember we are doing the best we can as mothers, fathers, husbands, wives, friends, and humans!
