I know it's supposed to start feeling more like Spring, but it dumped nearly a foot of snow here on Friday! My little family bundled up and headed outside to shovel our driveway and play in the snow. ❤️With Valentine's Day coming up - this would make the perfect special holiday treat! Keep reading for some festive tips❤️
This recipe is easy and SO yummy. You probably already have all the ingredients in your pantry. You need:
1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 teaspoon salt
1/3 cup of water
4 cups of milk
2 teaspoon of vanilla
Mix the dry ingredients together in a saucepan. Add water and bring to a boil for one minute. Add the milk and the vanilla. Heat until preferred temperature is reached. Pour in a mug and enjoy!!
❤️I recommend adding some pink and red sprinkles or even some heart marshmallows (yes, they are at Target!) to make this delicious cocoa a festive treat for Valentine's Day ❤️
I didn't have heavy whipping cream on hand, BUT here is a quick and easy recipe for homemade whip cream that is delicious (and fool proof) as long as you have everything you need:
1 cup cold heavy whipping cream
2 tablespoons of sugar
1/2 teaspoon of vanilla
Add all of the ingredients to a mixing bowl. Beat on high until it's nice and fluffy. And voilà! You will have the perfect snow day treat!
