If your household is anything like mine, then the week before Christmas you are
scrambling to make sure you’ve gifted everyone on your list and sent out all your
Christmas cards….Among 1 MILLION other thing that come along with everyday life as a Mom!

There are so many wonderful children in my family and in my close circle of friends
that I like to get something special for each one. Sadly, my large, gift-giving heart
exceeds my gift-giving budget.

There are two traditions that I have inherited from both of my sister-in-laws that
have made me a self-titled REMARKABLE gift giver, despite the size of my pocket
book.

ONE: Give the gift of a good read to all the important kiddos in your family.
Now, I know what you are thinking, books can get kind of expensive, but
there are soooo many books in this world that people are literarily
selling/giving brand new ones to used bookstores. Not only are used books
cheap, but you are more likely to find unique books that are uncommon to
the average child’s library. For example, I found an awesome children’s yoga
book for my niece that has great illustrations and includes the parents in the
fun!

TWO: Spice up your wrap job with an extra little treat tied to the package.

There are so many fun things you can attach to the outside of a package. Two
of my personal favorites are hair bows for a girl (because they are already so
beautiful they add to the wrap job) and another idea is an ornament for the
Christmas tree (who doesn’t like new tree bling!?).

Perhaps my favorite part of gifting books is that both the children and the adults
enjoy new literature in their household. It is also great to be able to afford a unique,
individually wrapped gift for all the Christmas angels in my life. Happy Holidays to
